KickBall-ology is an attempt to mimic the SCK Ranking System, which appears to have been inspired by the BCS, and provide an idea on how the play-offs would look like if the season were to end today. The system is based on numerical statistics and no ‘true strength’ of team type of judgment. Such variable has yet to be integrated or even considered. Doesn’t seem fair? If the KickBall Gods have blessed your team with any type of talent, chances are your team will be in The Makers’ Dozen. Prove yourself there, and you will join the league’s Eight to Hate. Let’s start off with the Locks (or teams who have clinched):
Locks
Confused Kixxx, Warriors, Shockers, New Kicks on the Block, and the Balls & Dolls
The first three have undoubtedly earned their Lock position, however, the latter two have benefited from a weaker division.
The LTA and Pitches B Crazy can clinch by picking up one more win in the next two remaining games. The rest of the batch is close as well, but scenarios are a bit more complex.
At Large
This spot goes to the team that did not end up in the top four of their division but are certainly a team that has proven themselves worthy of being called upon The Makers’ Dozen. This week’s deserving At Large might fall from grace the next. Shit, if things go their way this week, they might just Lock.
One More Shot
Bubble Teams
These are teams that should not be too comfortable in their current seeding and are thus living in post-season limbo. Best thing for them to do is to win, or fall at the mercy of an At Large plea.

Arithmetically Alive
These are teams who currently sit in the Last Chance Play-in Tournament, but still have a small glimmer of hope of making the Makers’ Dozen if they win the next two, and the Kickball Gods smile upon them. Long shots for sure, but at least they still have a shot.

What ump are talking about Johnny? If someone was stupid enough to say that to ur face then u should have informed the proper people. Umping is a tough gig. If you think u can do better u should volunteer and show us how its done. We all try to do as good of job as possible but sometimes we miss things. Were not out there to rob anyone. If I want u to lose ill do it the old fashion way and rock u with Shocker my team mates. So stop crying and do something about it or just do us all favor and don't sign up for nest season cuz SCK is better of with out you!
I understand its a "tough" gig but if you are not going to do it right then don't do it. Don't take sides. Plus our coach did text some guy named RICH who is supposed to be the right person and never responded. If I had the time trust me I would ump for the sake of some of the other teams that feel the same way but unfortunately I have to work and go to school. I did however take a break from SCK cuz of all the bullshit and came back this season only to have fun with friends but you guys seem to be stuck in your own ways and can't make this league fun. I hope I'm talking to the ump that umped the game on wednesday if you have a problem with our coach or anyone else on our team don't take it out on the whole team and if it's the ump that umped the wednesday game you did say you could make us lose the game if you wanted to. I agree with you Alex it was definetely uncalled for but I think most of the anger was toward the loudest guy on that team. I also didn't talk shit to that team but you have to admit that pitcher was very annoying. I would never play on a team that has somebody like that I don't know how you could.
Wow!!! I just read this and I am very disappointed at how a simple game of kickball can bring out the worst in people. Aldo, you know I was the person you annoyed most. I will be the first to admit it. I will rarely talk shit because I don't believe it to be necessary, and quite honestly, after the way you acted on Wednesday and reading this all I can say is I feel sorry for you. I really do. I talked to a couple of your players and they mentioned that your team won't show up because of you!!! How awful is that?!
About the Ump at Jimmy O he does suck... and he knows it. Alex I was there when he took one of your girls out of the game just for telling him he sucked. I know he only did it because you were not going to argue with him. I have seen guys get in his face and he will not do anything about it. Are you serious????? I understand that being an ump is not easy, gee professionals screw up perfect games. What we are saying is this guy at Jimmy O will act like a jerk, just because!

I'm lost. People talk bout how it's just kickball and how it's just a game so people shouldn't be takin it so seriously but what they need to realize is that it's in human nature to be competitive. You see it everywhere from gpas to sports to video games. Most people don't like to go out there and lose every single game or even half of their games at that. You'd be surprised how many people feel like they have to be the best at everything and anything. Not only to prove to people what they're capable of but also so prove to themselves they can perform up to their full potential. In all reality who out there is satisfied with a mediocre performance?
